Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Yasmeen Bilimoria is board-certified in Allergy/Clinical Immunology with over 30 years of experience. She graduated from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in 1990 and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Allergy/Immunology fellowship at Rush University in Chicago. In 2022, she was accepted into the prestigious Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine fellowship, and upon completing it, earned her board certification in Integrative Medicine. Alongside her private Allergy and Clinical Immunology practice, she's excited to now offer Integrative Medicine consultations for patients looking to take a more holistic approach to their health.

A Different Kind of Care
For more than 30 years, I have practiced as an allergist/immunologist, and in that time, I have sat across from numerous patients who share a quietly devastating experience: they feel they have been everywhere, seen everyone, and still have no answers.
They come to me with issues such chronic headaches, persistent skin reactions or gastrointestinal problems that have no clear explanation. Test after test has returned normal. Specialist after specialist has found nothing conclusive. And yet, they are suffering. Sometimes, within minutes of sitting down together, the tears come — not from physical discomfort, but from the exhaustion of not having answers.
I listen. I review their history carefully. I help them make sense of the road they have traveled. And more often than not, they leave telling me something that stays with me every time: I finally felt heard.
That is not a small thing. In fact, I believe it is where healing begins.
The Journey
The Grey Zone
Modern medicine is extraordinary. But it has its limits. When a patient's symptoms do not align neatly with textbook criteria, the system often has limited options — no diagnosis, no treatment, no clear path forward. I have come to think of this as the "grey zone," a place where patient hope fades and clinician frustration grows.
I refused to accept that this was the end of the road.
A New Direction
That refusal led me to pursue fellowship training in Integrative Medicine — a discipline grounded in proven medical science, but honest about what science alone cannot yet explain. Integrative Medicine does not replace conventional care; it enhances it. By recognizing the profound connection between physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being, it opens the door to a more complete picture of health.
After earning my board certification in Integrative Medicine, I tried to weave these approaches into my existing practice. It became clear, however, that the kind of care I envisioned — unhurried, personalized, and truly comprehensive — is not compatible with the traditional insurance-driven model.
And so, Immunomed Integrative Care was born.
